I’m the first to admit my mouth is in terrible condition; not to make things too deep but my neglect as a child meant I only started brushing my teeth at around 16 when I had some sense of autonomy.

I had a filling done at 14 that was botched and now my teeth are becoming ultra sensitive. I had a tooth out July last year (which was also a botched filling) so I’ve been more on top of my mouth health.

However, I’m having some difficulties again with sensitivity and such.

I use sensodyne anyway and it’s been great; what mouthwash should I use too? I bought some listerine but I’m not convinced idk.

Also, flossing; is it meant to hurt? It feels like I’m about to dislodge my teeth

Listerene mouthwash is good and dental floss should not hurt when used, be gentle

I’d go see your dentist op, there’s a paste they can apply to sensitive teeth. I’ve got one and my dentist applied a banana flavoured paste and that sorted the sensitivity. Good luck

My mouth is in terrible condition due to bad dentists, I'm currently waiting for implants to be done.

Listerine is a good mouthwash, I use it. Your teeth aren't meant to hurt after flossing, would it be worth a visit to your dentist?

You could consider a softer toothbrush, which will clean just as well, but with much less damage to the gumline. Dental tape might be easier going than floss, and warm water with a lot of salt is as good as anything. It's what is recommended after extractions.

Sounds like your gums might be in need of attention. Buy interdental brushes which are more gentle than floss. Colgate do a good sensitive toothpaste, whichever one you use don't rinse after you've brushed and only use mouthwash several hours later. Corsodyl mouthwash tastes vile but has the stuff in it that you need if you've got infections in your gums, you can only use it for a limited period thought

Dentists are hard to come by unless you can afford private care.

Corsodyl is very good. Strengthens your teeth and gums. I'm scared shitless by the dentist, and also suffer from sensitivity. This stuff has been very good for me

Find a good dentist close to you and advise what to use.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

You do know mouth washes are hydrogen peroxide right?

It's ok to use but diluted though. My dentist never used to recommend it - Salt in warm water - yes?
