Words for men

Words like stunning, beautiful gorgeous etc are more used for women, that's if we can take the compliment lol

But what are the words for men?

I've seen handsome, good looking, fit as fuck, he's a sort but I don't know? Do they come across equally as complimentary, as say beautiful?

I pondered this whilst on my 6am walk....I'm fucked lol

Caerphilly

Good walkin', Shy

They all work. Sometimes they work better than calling a dude 'handsome' because its a base-level generic compliment.

I called a guy pretty once and he didn't freak out, that was nice

I’d say most language of beauty is aimed at women, if a man was to be described as “beautiful” in my head I’d be mentally thinking of some effeminate emo wearing guy-liner. I would say terms used to describe men tend to be more towards handsome, rugged, maybe gorgeous, but that’d be about it.

Once I was called a stud muffin

It was a long time ago, still don’t know if it’s a good thing or not.

To be called anything would be nice now.

I think beautiful equates to kindness a lot of the time for me. If I get called beautiful, it's feedback for me that I'm good inside and out. Xx

I was out walking once and a woman said I was a gorgeous hunk, I complimented her on her lovely Labrador and didn’t bother mentioning that there is more than one Brad Pitt

It's Aussie slang for a sexually attractive person

.

I think we're more likely to compliment women and that's why those words are more associated with them, perhaps. I call men beautiful. They are.

I also call them cute, rather attractive, kind of sexy... Oh I described a man as dashing and suave the other day because he is. Slick. I like complimenting men.

If I'm really complimenting them I'll call them a dick. Or a dickhead. Or a twunt.

I always thought Brad Pitt was beautiful in Legends of the Fall.

I don't really know why I think that word instead of handsome.

But I will use gorgeous, handsome, sweet cheeks, as terms of endearment.

I remember every compliment. Because we don’t get them as often as a woman will.

I identify as pretty fit.

I'm not sure it's a lack of words (as amply demonstrated by a poster above) as much as it is a form of toxic masculinity.

We think certain words only apply to the 'fairer' sex but it's social conditioning.

Men may get fewer compliments but they're possibly more meaningful than the shallow agenda-driven shite women receive on here.

"“Your a really nice guy” might be the wurst compliment to hear for a guy "

Usually followed by a verbal comma (... But...) , rejection, and the later discovery of their now relationship with someone dull, mundane and/or a total arse.

Well if a woman is telling us directly that they find us good looking, handsome, fit as fuck, etc, then why would that not feel the same/have the same impact for what a women would feel when they get complimented on their physical looks? It's probably a subjective thing to be completely honest. An example of this would be that some people struggle to take compliments and others can.
