I was abused for 6 years but someone who was meant to be my friend. I finally removed her from my life 2 years ago and it’s been a very difficult journey to heal and recover. I’m still on that journey.

Yesterday my mother decided to turn around and tell me she didn’t believe I was abused.

It was a right kick in the teeth and obviously I feel like shit. It took me so long for me to even convince myself I was being abused; now it’s obvious those around me don’t believe me either.

I just needed to get this off my chest. Normal programming will resume soon.

Sorry you went through that, you don't have to justify yourself to anybody. It must hurt not having ppl believe you but you know what happened and there's help out there if you're not getting already.

I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time at the moment, venting helps heal, it's a part of the process, thank you for feeling like you could do that here.

Sometimes only you can see what's happened, don't let anyone else gaslight you into thinking something else.
