My restaurant serves loads of local Surrey Hills ales which change sometimes daily.

My favourite at the moment being Black Troll. Very dark, but not bitter and full of flavours!

I like real ale. Jail Ale from Princetown in Dartmoor is good when I can get it. Local ale is Harveys.

Plenty of real ale around here. Home of the most microbreweries in one town aledgedly! Mallinsons to name but one. I do find a female real ale fan a sexy thing!

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I love my real ale and luckily there are a few decent pubs in York. I was at Bradford Beer Fair earlier this month but missing the Leeds one tonight.

Dewsbury Beer fair is always around my birthday so that features in my plans.

near you

Just had a night on the Jennings Snecklifter, then it ran out so I had to change to Hobgoblin... I've got at least 8 real ales to choose from every day and a beer fest and a cider fest...

And for Saturday a new barrel of Jennings Cockerhoop for the rugby

There's no fab pun in cockerhoop is there?

Let's face it folks - there's a beer for everyone

No matter where we are, we can always sniff out a good pint - from the Orkneys to Jersey, West Wales to the Norfolk Broads.

I'll drink to that

Damn fine pub just up the road from me, backing onto an AONB, Friday night runners club, muddy boots, wet dogs and lots of beer

Bedworth

We're really lucky here in Nottingham. We've got one of the largest beer festivals in the country and some excellent microbreweries

I went to my very first real ale festival last year, having never d*unk real ale before i got talked into it. With a very straight face the friend that i was with told me that you pick one you like and and ask for a half pint of it. Not knowing that she was joking that's exactly what i did. Instead of just having a taster

After about 5 pints i was very rat arsed and very ill for the next couple of days. She is still laughing at me now and i have never nor will i touch another drop of ale again or listen to any of my friends again when it comes to drinking with them.

Did have a good time though

Have not been to a beer festival for ages, not something I would do on my own, and certainly mixed with FAB related activities!

Ruby, sweetie, can I just correct something you have said above.... you were NOT 'very rat arsed'.

You were totally, absolutely, fucking WRECKED for two days after....
