Iam in a bit of a pickle , I've been asked out by a carer who looks after my disabled son (quadriplegic long story) all good you would think but the issue is what if we get on at first then it goes sour then I could lose the best friend my sons got or do I just decline and keep looking .

Decline and keep looking.

You're right to put your child first.

Explain to her that you don't want to affect her relationship with your kid if it doesn't work between you and her

She should know her boundaries...not very professional

It's got the potential to do alot of damage, always put your kids first before yourself. Politely decline.

If you are paying her to look after your son then this crosses professional boundaries as well. She should know better

Unfortunately she's already made things awkward. Hopefully you can get back to the previous status quo

I think you're doing the right thing. It's a shame because in other circumstances you'd have no qualms about dating her.

Hopefully things can continue as they were.

I would date her in a heart beat but he's my primary concern.

Do you think she was actually asking you out on a date or maybe just wanted to discuss issues about your son out of his earshot ?

If she did date you she would lose her job. Dating clients and or family is a sackable offence.

Decline. Or, if you can handle it, go out for coffee, literally just coffee, have a chat and say no to any suggestion of dating.
