Note taking?

I am horrendous. I lose notes.

But I always find them again, usually when I no longer need them.

For life stuff horrific… I’m absolutely chaotic.

Yet at work.. I’m super organised and can keep notes really well.

I’m just rubbish at adulting

Oh. I **LOVE** a note. I have hundreds of notebooks, pens in different colours, file tabs, clips and binders.

I write everything down meticulously. Annotated even.

Shopping lists are in shop layout order (with a meal plan in the margin)

I write lists for what to pack when I go away.

I have lists of measurements of me & my daughters (and a tape measure in my bag)

Obviously then I leave all of these books at home when I need them

That could be someone’s job.

Except for the part, where you leave the books behind. Which is a thing I would totally do.

Anything like that, apple finds a way of making it so that I don’t know how to find them anymore.

Doesn’t matter how good I am, I’m not, I’d put them down somewhere and forget where and never find them again.

Could not function without notebooks at work, I bulk buy them.

Until recently I had boxes of books going back 27 years......

I’m not great at note taking but I have an incredibly good memory AND it’s photographic

Everyone at work comes to me when they need something remembering hehe

It's something I've had to do all my life, having worked and now volunteered in organisations run by meetings, so I have my own way of doing it to jog my memory later.

I love note taking. Trouble is I have loads of different notebooks and no system, and write in them with wild abandon, so I never know where to find the little note that may be useful

I’m terrible at taking notes. I sit in meetings happily listening and thinking “I’ll remember that”, but I never do.

But I do keep a list of things to do and that seems to keep me on track.

I had an idea of buying all new notebooks and then organising all the notes into the correct categories but that will never happen

At work I’m the fucking god of note taking !

We got issued some Samsung tablets a while back with a pen/stylus and I use that for all my notes. Anything that comes to mind gets jotted down, all my time management gets worked out on there, minutes of meetings/interviews etc.

I’d be lost without it .

In personal life ? ….. errr, can we talk about that another time ?
