It’s finally time for me to tackle the pit that is known as my bedroom.

I have OCD with hoarding tendencies so it’s going to be difficult for me.

Anyone have any tips to make the whole thing easier? Like…is there any extermination teams that can come in and decimate the whole thing?

I’m joking, but I would appreciate the tips

Do half an hour at a time, take a break, go back to it. Or break it down into sections, focus on making the bed, or putting clothes away, or clearing the floor.

I always have to make my bed in stages, strip it, go away, get clean bedding out, go away, then finally remember to make it.

Literally and figuratively this. Making it into doable chunks also stops any overwhelm because you're then focusing on tiny tasks and not looking at the whole picture.

Make a list and tick them off as you go so you know you’ve accomplished something, even if it doesn’t look like you have.

Paper Town Central, Essex.

If you haven't used it in the last 18 months, out it goes.

An hour at a time, then a cuppa as a reward.

How big is your bed OP, could you just push a lot of it underneath there?

Start with one drawer. Just do that. Be ruthless with it, anything you aren't keeping leaves the house that day x

Ask a friend to help. Ask for help to clear some of your hoard, a bit at a time. If you have a close friend you trust, ask if they would remove a bin bag of your hoard and remove it on your behalf, one bag at a time, one a day etc.

If you hoard, then I’d say small steps, start getting rid of the small things you don’t need, take to charity shops if you can’t throw it out
