"Mine went up this year (£450 fully comp with no claims protected). The discount for females has been removed and premiums have been leveled for male and female i believe, but that means although mine has gone up, ive not heard of any male drivers saying it went down for them. " Mines dropped by half this year! For the last 3 years I've stayed with the same comp, well not any more. I always shopped around previously and changed annually and now going back to doing so, no point in staying with the same as there is no such thing as a loyalty bonus. Max protected no claims, no convictions/ accidents..all the usual extras and its a merc e class, just a tad under 200

"Where I live they wanted £850 TFT for a Peugeot diesel, so I insured it at an ex's of mine who lives in a better postcode for £400 fully comp ![]() That's illegal too. Insurance companies have started doing checks as do the DVLA. Best advice is to change address ![]()

"Where I live they wanted £850 TFT for a Peugeot diesel, so I insured it at an ex's of mine who lives in a better postcode for £400 fully comp ![]() Er no, unless you don't exist at your real address. All that means is that you've committed another offence by not having your licence at the correct address. Insurance companies have access to all sorts of records for fraud detection purposes.

"Got my renewal through today. 250 up on last year. Went onto the meerkat place and got it 150 cheaper than this year! Now 658 fully comp on a T reg Toyota Yaris" Always shop around - renewal quotes are always over inflated as insurers hope a few will just simply accept & not look for a better deal
