Im not into DVDs but spent a while looking at the new film releases and wouldnt have a clue what films are great and what to buy.

I picked up Keith Lemon the Movie as i'm hopping its going to be either a great comedy or so shit that it turns out to be genius! lol

So any good recommendations of 'must see ' films?

I used to do the same "always ask others for advice"

My friends suggested I see the "Hangover" when it came out,they thought it was "funny"

I thought it was terrible

Films and music are v subjective,hope that helps

Watched the new 'Red Dawn' yesterday - nowhere near as cheesy as the Patrick Swayze original and the evil South Americans/Russians have been replaced with North Koreans/Russians!!

Not a bad flick - I just love the fact the original had a surprising cast - including Jennifer "Dirty Dancing" Grey!

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

The problem is, what I like. others may not, so no good recommending stuff. Like the poster above I'd rather poke my eyes out with spoons than watch The Hangover. However my daughter made me watch Ted and it wasn't that bad.

I've recently enjoyed Super 8, a real old fashioned kids SF film by Stephen Spielberg. Very enjoyable.

Django unchained, if its still on at the cinema then you must go and see it, unless of course your not really a fan of Tarantino

Midnight in Paris, cleverly written and well-acted.

The Artist, the accolades are well-deserved.

Films I would like to get the DVDs are Shame and Prometheus.

its amazing how fucking stupid the production companies are being.. cloud atlas took 3 months or so to be released here

plenty of time for shit reviews and piracy

I'm still recommending a classic laugh out honest gory farcical fun film...
