...more 'functional' than 'aesthetic'?

Is comfort more important than style?

Are you not fussed how pretty it looks as long as you get a good night's sleep on it and it's suitable for a good sex session without collapsing or bouncing you off the walls?

Have you accessorised it, or is it just a standard fram and mattress with some sheets, pillows and a duvet on it?

Would you rather have another type/style bed and if so what's your dream bed.

Mines pretty functional. I have a lot of pillows, cushions and a throw on my bed to make it look appealing to dive into. It’s functional because I like to feel I’m sleeping on a giant big squishy cloud with all the cushions and pillows.

My chiropractor and I don’t see eye to eye on the situation

I'm actually half shopping for a new bed. My current one has suffered some structural damage (not blaming any smug pricks in particular) and the warranty is paying out the full price after 2 years of use. So I'm happy about that even if I have a crooked bed until I get that processed and sorted.

But both.

I need sturdy. I need pretty. I like metal wreathed and twisted I can wrap fairy lights around and attach cuffs to and grab on to

I have a divan in the spare room that is just sturdy and functional. I've had pretty but flimsy ones before. I want both together for my main bed.

My bed is a bloody disgrace to be honest..the mattress is careworn, so needs replacing, but I'm not too fussed about that right now. It's the frame that's pissed me off

I bought it cause it was metal, so expected it to be sturdy, long lived, just resilient in general

My previous wooden one that damaged my back lasted longer than this one...one of the struts that supports the mattress has come loose

I'd be a wee bit more pragmatic about it, if it were due to..ahem, "activity" but I don't even have that as an excuse

I had to downsize my beautiful bed at Christmas as it was just too big for my current house.

I now have one with a gas lift and it stores all my shoes under it. I do the stereotypical girl thing of throws and cushions to make it look pretty

It's actually both Øbi, because it's so very new and it took a lot of time and effort to find something contemporary, aesthetically pleasing and orthopaedically brilliant. It perfectly complements the bedside drawers but it remains stylistically simple and unfussy.

My current cozy pad is a Japanese style wooden futon bed with one pillow and some blankets. Suuuper sturdy and comfortable but bought a new mattress for it too, so waiting for that to be delivered. I only have one little pillow with a cotton-y, silky material cover, as I find lots of pillows uncomfortable to sleep on. Overall I'd say it's not the most luxurious and lavish bed out there, but it's very simple, functional and comfy.

Have a nice newish bed. Super Kingsize with a large, to the floor headboard, which doesnt bang against the wall, we have tested it vigorously.

Apparently it has to many pillows and cushions but I think that's probably a girly thing and it's so comfy. Loved our last bed but this is so much better, Mrs x

I’m chronically ill and spend the majority of time in bed so it’s functional AND aesthetically pleasing (to me, anyway)

I recently bought another huge reading pillow and I’m obsessed with it and it’s helped a ton

And because I can’t sleep on my back too much I have a whole stack of pillows at the end of the bed ready to go

(And I also have the entire box of blankets for weighting my legs when things got real bad)

Bit of both, nice metal frame and crystal knobs. King size, so there's room for me and multiple cats. I do really love a fancy duvet cover, always a fleece blanket, 4 normal pillows and a long body one. Most people say it's very comfy.

Both for me. It’s a superking organic latex mattress which is a dream still after 8 years…a simple but sturdy pine & oak frame that’s really low to the floor…and a pretty duvet cover that I love. Very happy with all the hours we spend in it

We have a standard double but treated ourselves to a new one last year when we moved. It's from IKEA and is a dark blue upholstered headboard in the sleigh style. Our mattress is designed with my physical problems in mind and is more or less the firmest on offer.

Function, it’s a nice enough bed super king size with a big tall headboard (which has now warped for the scone time so didn’t bother complaining agsin) I don’t really care how the bedding looks as long as clean and comfortable, I have a single pillow on it that doesn’t even match the quilt cover figured what’s the fucking point it’s just for me and the dog and he doesent use a pillow

My bed is a bit crap actually. I am un-enthusiastically looking for a new one. My mattress is 'ok'. I cant quite get the pillow combination right though, not high enough, too high, and the pillowcases tickle my nose. I sleep well in it though, but I could sleep 12 hours on a plank in the rain given half a chance
