...ing at the weekend as the Funkmeister has dibs on the time-machine.

So I've got my tent sorted. What other kit and equipment can you recommend for me?

Setting up a tent in the holodeck is not proper camping.

I was of course referring to the latter, but the former might be a good idea too...

This is the kind of guy we need more of in the Chrononautics Guild.

Nither is camping in the garden! But it does solve the problem of what to take, everything will be at hand and when it gets really cold he can crawl up to bed!

Last we heard of him he had been thrown of a train for not having a valid ticket and had his bank card taken by the inspector

I'm one of those annoying buggers who never gets bitten.

My brother is great to go camping with, every mozzie within 3 miles will be too busy biting him to bother with anyone else

Did a 'Now get out of that!' style outward bound management training course years ago, which was run by ex-Special Forces guys. Mozzy spray is actually 2nd on the list after a machete for what are the 'camping essentials' (personally I would have thought a good selection of waterproof make up and a hair net would have come top of the 'camp' list..) as nearly everything else you need can be found 'in the wild'...

Bare in mind here I will actually be yards and yards away from a kitchen and toilet here, so this is seriously deep wildwood stuff.

"A number for a nice Hotel."

Pah! I want to feel the wind on my face, breathe the air of the ancient forests and feel the warmth of a camp fire.

I want to be out there, yards from anywhere, surviving on my wits and woodcraft alone ....
