With the transfer window now shut it made me think of the poorest but of business from the past. Who is your teams worst ever signings?

My team is Rangers and I instantly think of Joey Barton. He came, he saw, he did fuck all. Only thing he did of note was being outclassed in an Old Firm game.

Tore Andre Flo. Record signing and never did much to justify the cost.

Francisco Sandaza. A striker who rarely scored and then admitted to a hoaxer on a phone call that he was only there for the money and would leave in a heartbeat.

Ooof, Man United have had some stinkers I'll tell you that!

Bebe - 8million and I don't think our scouts even watched him play

Juan Sebastian Veron - very costly and pretty much disrupted our midfield flow

Angel Di Maria - started off well but didn't get on with LvG and fucked off after a year slagging off the city

Morgan Schneiderlin - yeah, I almost forgot we signed him as well but cost a cool £35mil for fuck all

Alexis Sanchez - probably ruined our wage structure and was absolutely washed when he came in

Antony - fuck me, this guy isn't worth £30mil let alone the amount we paid for him

Jadon Sancho - chased this bum for 2 years and when we finally signed him, showed he had a weak mentality for the league despite the numerous chances and still would've rather sat playing on his PS5.

Lukaku to Chelsea is a funny one. 90mil and slagged them off a few months later about how he wanted to return to Inter

London

Too many to mention.

Francis Jeffers always comes to mind. Nicolas Pepe from a sheer waste of money point of view.

But special mention to Kim Kallstrom - loaned, with a back injury, and managed one game (scored a penalty though!).

Twice. Twice we bought him. Breaks my heart.

Although in fairness, we bought him on the strength of his goal scoring at Milan, then played him in an entirely different way/role and tried to get shot when it didn't work.....

How was he used? From what I saw, he was used as pretty much a target man with service from Werner, Havertz, and Mount? Or was he used more to hold up the ball with runners going off him?

Sagittarius A

Mario Balotelli - Allergic to grass

Alberto Aquillani - The midfield maestro to replace Xavi Alonso.

Andy Carrol - Paid £30million for an alcoholic Sunday league striker.

Dean Saunders - they paid £2.9 million for him at 29 because £3.1 million was too much for Alan Shearer in his prime.

El Hadj Diouf - Spitting at the Celtic crowd was the highlight of his career.

Worthing

Clive Allen to Arsenal. First £1m teenage transfer. I am not a fan but at the time this was a strange. He did not pay a game before leaving for Spurs.

"Mario Balotelli - Allergic to grass"

So important in City's 2011 FA Cup win and the PL win the following year

He was worth the transfer fee just for setting up "Aguerooooooooo"

Two much worse buys for City, Samaras for £3.5M which at the time was our entire transfer budget and Wilfred Bony for £25M

He played at Inter with 2 up front, we played him as a sole man up front. Doesn't suit his style of play.

We've done it a few times! Kelberson, Fred, Anderson. Are we even checking their passports before we sign them?

That's a tough one! He arguably did very well but also fucked with the mojo of the team as everything went through him. Not the worst, 50/50 I would say

As an Everton fan I’d say getting Ronald Koeman in as manager set us back years. But player wise… far too many to pick from but would have to say Gbamin. Spent his entire spell in the physio room.

The man was unreal at Arsenal, crazy how much he dropped off.

His best performance was playing the piano in his announcement video

He was poor for us as well. He came in part exchange for Kenny Samson, we definitely got the worst of that deal.
