My late wife and I used to swim out a very very long way, she was a much better swimmer than I and sometimes she would scare me how far she went. She had medals and awards for swimming and windsurfing often out performing young beating some of the U.K's best MEN. Now a funny bit, my father was in Burma Malaya Java etc during the war and used to dive off the ships and swim with dolphins and porpoises etc, along with the other soldiers, weird thing was though, he was terrified of water tanks in lofts?? He could not go anywhere near them.
