"A single white line is considered legal to park but if there's no pavement, it's illegal. Across a dropped curb it's illegal to block a car in. But if there's no car on, say, a drive way, it's legal to park." APL’s or H lines across a dropped curb are only advisory & cost a fair bit to put in. We live by a school & looked into it but decided not to bother when we found out they have no legal standing. Next door have had them put in & they are ignored

Not even directly opposite his drive. Womans whos drive i was parked next to i spoke to few weeks ago to see if i was ok parking there as it can be a nightmare parking on street , she was nice said she knows its got bad for parking and i was cool. I only park there when cant get near my house. My wife has mobility issues so if im off shift and shes on i leave my car outside my house then move when she gets home if she cant park near . It was way he spoke to me .

" You can't park across his drive if his car is in there as you are causing an obstruction. You can however park there if there is no car on the drive. You are then just stopping him from getting in, that's not illegal but it is rather inconsiderate.
