I feel angry that these morons ruin thing for all us genuine people who would like to meet up because they can't take a polite no thank you as an answer.

I wouldn't spend too much time dwelling on it if you're not the one getting the messages.

Accept that people have their boundaries for good reason, work within those boundaries.

Just report them and move on.

You can't control other people's behaviour.

Speaking for myself, I don't concern myself with how others conduct themselves on here as I have absolutely no control over it. I can only be myself and behave decently and appropriately.

The day I start thinking that anyone else's behaviour on here has any impact on my experience or ruins anything for me will be the day I pack it in.

Nope. Big nope.

Nobody 'ruins' or in the slightest way affects my life on here but me.

Not one message sent, comment made in the forums, fab on a pic, wink or random friends request made by any other site user represents me.

Blaming others is a massive cop out.

I agree, it's sad, I had a couple MM message me and a few things I do not like were in their profile, also clearly they had not read, understood,or taken in what is on my profile. I very politely said "thank you for the message, nice to be noticed, thank you but no thank you". I was then subjected to not only abusive messages but a lot over the next four months of guys being everything I like making "dates" and arrangements and not turning up! I later realised it was them as I notice something in the background of one of the face pics, Also in one of the face photos it had "stock photo" written across it in faint "watermark" writing! I eventually blocked them I hate using the block thing, but felt I had t o, but now I am very suspicious of anyone messaging and am never sure if it's a wind up or genuine.

Abusive messages are a problem for some people. The best thing to do is report the person and block the profile but they're never nice to receive.

While I don't think they ruin things for others exactly they do make a lot of people very wary and mistrustful
