I'm still quite new on here and wondered what peoples experiences are with

Time wasters - is this primary men , women or couples .

Fake profiles, again, men, women or couples,

Love to know how men, women couples etc are on here, how many are fake and how many genuine.

To be honest the majority of people I've messaged seem very genuine, but there are some time wasters on here too, perhaps they get cold feet of their circumstances change.

Even genuine people get cold feet, they change their minds for whatever compelling reason or they've noticed a red flag which makes them think twice.

I don't think I've come across a single fake profile since I've been on here. That doesn't mean they don't exist but appropriate due diligence usually mitigates those issues for me.

It depends on your definition of a time waster really.

I've chatted to a few who chatted said they wanted to meet but never could put a date on it and wanted pics etc instead. I learnt early on to not send pics etc and they soon go away when you aren't giving them wank material.

I have never really dealt with any fake profiles as they are easy to spot usually.

I've never been ghosted on here any meets as I tend to chat for a while before I meet someone.

But then chatting is seen as timewasting to some. So I guess that just brings it back to the definition of a time waster

I think the words fake and tinewasters gets thrown around a lot when people aren't getting meets. I've been called fake several times by people I have refused to meet or chat to. Usually by unveried profiles who seem to think I should be sitting at home in lingerie waiting for some random guy to message me late at night and to rush on over to shag him.

People have to do life as well and that for most is more important.

There are those that clearly want chat and those that want to meet today.

So I think defining what makes a time waster is not always that clearly defined.

With regards to fakes, people say they are on here, I think you can quite clearly spot a fake even if somehow they are verified.

Exactly this. And once they have told the other person and not just ghosted them on the day of the meet it's not time wasting.

I don't have any experience of the above.

I've been here almost 8 years and never had a no show, engaged with a fake profile or been ghosted.

They are usually pretty easy to spot and avoid.

I don't class conversations that fizzle out as wasted time.

We've been called time wasters before, as many have said, it definitely depends on your definition. I really don't like the term as it implies that anything other than meeting for sex is time wasting, and for us part of fab is the chatting etc.

There are fake profiles, even verified ones, but they're pretty easy to spot and avoid x

Common for who?

For every person complaining about being constantly stood up is another who has never experienced it.

Every time one of these threads appear half the people posting on them have never been stood up.

You then have to wonder why it happens to some people so often and so rarely if ever at all to others?

Much of this is about having realistic expectations.

You must chat with a lot of people to filter them down to a smaller number who you MAY meet. Preferences and tastes will mean that you're not right for most people. Neither side knows who's right untill they chat. This will turn red hot interest into stone cold certainty that you're not for them.

This is not time wasting. It's just how it is. And you have competition, so others may appear and displace you. Move on. Learn.

Fake profiles pop up all the time…. But you can’t know if it’s a man pretending to be a woman or couple… it could be a woman who just likes to have that kind of interaction…. Or could be a guy from a couple who’s other half doesn’t know…so in theory is a couple but without all knowing …

Does that make sense

Time wasters are everywhere these days, but you think that most people would actually want to get off with you in person, than get themselves off on the other side of a screen.

You will normally find that time wasters fall into a pattern and their profiles and conversations all tend to be the same. Keep an eye open for that and determinefor yourself before planning a meet.

Slow at sending any sort verification picture, which never arrives. And issues uploading pictures... yawn bye.

One word answers... yawn bye.

All keen then... No communication before the meet.

They tend to all follow the same line if thought when winding you up. This is part of human nature. Humans think we are clever and all possess individual thought, but we follow what others do and subconsciously our brains think its a good idea, and you will find that compulsive liars, also lie using similar patterns. Both are fairly easy to spot after you've spoken to a few and you'll see the patterns, so you can avoid disappointment before setting anything up with them.

Fake profiles are pretty obvious to spot. We had a "couple" message us, no pics, been on here for over a year, no verifications and no blurb on their profile... massive red flags.

So I don’t think I’ve spoken to a fake profile but I’ve had lots of other things happen.

Blocked 2 hours before a meet.

Chatted lots arranged a meet the following week then ghosted.

Been stood up lots of times unfortunately.

Cancelled on at an hours notice without a good reason, I totally accept that folk have lives, kids etc so this one isn’t quite so bad.

Normally I get a sense if someone is going to have a wobble, decreased communication etc but even then I sometimes get caught out.

However I have had some lovely meets and made friends too.

If any of the above hasn’t happened to you personally then you are very fortunate. It has to me and I’ve been here 8 years on and off.

But the good experiences do outweigh the bad it’s just as well I’m a confident person but I realise they have the issue not me!

Pretty much the same as Glorious Curves, it's a mixed bag.

Recently I've come across a catfish, an AI generated photo and profile, someone who'd taken another guys pics. So it happens.

Majority are just normal genuine people.

It's only really time wasting with they don't show up for actual meets. I think you just have to adjust your expectations.

Tis the joy of the internet.

People can be whoever they want to be, say whatever they want to say and act however they choose. Of course if you've ever watched the TV shows Catfish or Traitors it can be alarming how easy it is to dupe some people into believing anything they say.

It pays to be cautious online. Due diligence is necessary.

But in 16 years on here I've had one no show. Plenty of contact from those I didn't believe were real from the outset, but it's easy to cut that dead and ignore. The site gives plenty of tools to help people along the way if they choose to use them. But common sense, a realistic sense of expectations and being in no rush to meet are the best tools you can have if you want a happy, stress free Fab experience.

Try right-clicking on a profile's photos and do a search image on google. It's amazing how many appear on old porn sites. It's a good red-flag indicator. I doubt that woman from Sheffield is really a German pornstar from Berlin. Shame though.
