Wasn't expecting that news to break today but its confirmed.

Lewis joins Ferrari in 2025 on a multi year contract.

I don't begrudge him for leaving Mercedes. After all he's achieved everything he needed to with them.

A Ferrari swansong will be a fitting tribute to him. So fair play

Perhaps home should put his energy into driving and not getting involved in political matters

Always surprises me when people talk down about Lewis.

He's a great talent behind the wheel and does so much for raising awareness about certain topics.

People who don't understand it, need to seriously take a long look at themselves.

The problem with society these days are the very people who criticise him.

Oh well

"Its a itch he has to scratch before he retires "

He has said many times in interviews that as a driver he would love to drive a Ferrari at some point.

As to why now has he decided to make that move ? I think that he has certainly driven this years Merc in the simulator and come to one of two conclusions.

1) it's a dog and stands no chance of winning this years championship.

2) it's spot on and stands every chance of winning this years championship.

Which ever conclusion he has come to makes a move next year to Ferrari perfect sense for him

Pretty sure that everyone has an interest/hobby that others would call ‘crap’

Hi all ..

Just sharing again...

HAMILTON and Mercedes

Been working hard allday and just got home..

Looking forward to a bit of footy but missed it..

It’s only a friendly.......

So went for f1 as I really enjoy it and admire all the drivers...

I had had enough of the red bull Horner bs saga...

But once again a proved innocent/not guilty man is still treated as guilty due to the muppets and social media...

I was just catching up with the oz F1 and love it Verstappen is on pole...

Apparently red bull have the fastest car but You still have to drive the thing and he continues to show an amazing consistency level..

Anyway!!!!

Surprise surprise!!!!

Moan a lot Hamilton and Mercedes are banging on about the Horner crap again when all the fans want to do is watch the action...

Why doesn’t the bloke and Wolfe just drive the bloody car and do his job on the weekends...

Then all week they can continue with there self righteous bs about clarity...

Mercedes team are all pathetic as when they had the fastest car for 7 years you didn’t hear a peep out of them...

Now they can’t stop grizzling and moaning and banging on about subjects that are none of there business and personally I couldn’t give a shit about Mercedes opinions

It's about morals and standards. If Redbull or the FIA are doing things inappropriately, then it's right for teams and drivers to call them out.

If you don't understand this, then you're clearly part of the problem

He better be pretty much on the top step most of the time as the Tifosi won’t give a flying fuck about his great ideas for diversity.

Think he’s got a mighty big shock coming if he does deliver

Ultimately, the success of Ferrari will depend on the ability to deliver a great car. Race results are 90% the car and 10% the driver.

In my opinion, Lewis will improve Ferrari as a team. His experience in championship winning teams will bring better practices both in development and at races weekends. He will probably stay on after he retires from racing to assist with developing the team & the drivers.

Best car for a number of years with a team mate who was there to help him win. Now both are gone, he’s failing to keep up with the new team mate in an identical car.

Potentially, MV could break many of those records if RB maintain their current dominance, although his idiot dads ego seems determined to fuck that up with his meddling

F1 has absolutely nothing to do with morals and standards, now less so than ever, it’s politics nothing more, and that comment is aimed equally at all those involved with F1, not just the current skirmish.

You clearly haven't seen he's records even previous to f1. Nor seen him win races on 3 wheels nor seen him dominant in the rain

But just to end a continuous disagreement, your right I'm wrong

I've been watching F1 since the early 80's

In equal cars, there a whole host of drivers of equal talent and theres a whole host of drivers that are way more exciting to watch

...aside from the rest of this comment, you actually think because he's got a white mum, that gave him a pass? Wow, just wow.
