Oh I don't know. A fishnet Xmas stocking would be quite sexy for Santa instead of the usual supermarket tat.

What's the difference "

Hold ups have a type of band at the top that acts like a garter to keep the stockings up. Ordinary stockings need a suspended belt or they'd fall down. Garter belts are hopeless a four or six strap suspender is what's required

I prefer stockings that need a suspender belt. I just prefer the look of them on me, but I do have some lingerie that works better with hold-ups though. It all depends on what I'm wearing

I wear a 6 strap suspender belt with both, as I never rely on the silicone band on the holdups not to fail

Also a proper suspender belt with metal clasps, not the cheap plastic ones that don't work

Unless I have a helping hand, I prefer hold ups. So do my thighs

Managed to get a few in the latest sale in M&S. Just need to get a bit warmer.. brrr.
