Dave Draiman from Disturbed. If you haven't watched his live performance of The Sound Of Silence on Conan I'd highly recommend it.

He has sick and had a fever when he performed it, yet still absolutely nailed it. Probably the single best live performance I think I've ever seen/heard

Somewhere In The Ether…

There’s been so many beautiful vocal skills demonstrated over the years.

Here’s two that immediately spring to mind however as contenders at least, for the esteemed title:

Ladies Voice: Barbra Streisand

Male Voice: The late Luther Vandross

It's the way he builds it up and slides effortlessly from bass, to baritone, to tenor, then adds that vocal fry and distortion to his voice. He's an incredible performer

Near Clacton

Has to be the greatest female voice of all time Celine Dione! My next would be Carly Simon. But bugger it i love them all really. From Lady Ga ga to Tina Turner and back again.

As far as men go it's a toss up because I love all genres but Freddie Mercury had a brilliant voice very wide ranging, incredible live vocals. And of course Michael Jackson. Then there's Brilliant Andrea Bocelli.

Difficult really as I say I love all music, song dance well in fact all of the performing arts really. Sad as I can't sing, dance play an instrument of any kind.

Tough one, Carole King, Aretha, Roberta Flack and a host of others come to mind.

But the voice I love hearing is Elizabeth Frazer from The Cocteau Twins, her version of Song To The Siren, sends shivers down my spine.

As anyone said Gabrielle Aplin... I love her voice, not sure how she never really got that famous...

And of course.. my girl Taylor, but I might be a tad biased..

Up on them there hills

Freddie Mercury had a stunning range.

Equally the ABBA girls: three octaves was impressive.

How ever Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt was absolutely stunningly beautiful in my world.
