I remember being shit scared as a kid watching zombie flesh eaters , didn't sleep for a week lol

Southern comfort scared the crap out of me too

And threads the British nuke film , that fucked me up for a while . Nowadays nothing really gets me , it's all jump scares now , no real phycological fear inducing stuff

Shining is still the best for me.

Recent horrors the only one for years that unsettled me is It Follows

All the ones nowadays are just too reliant on jump scares. That’s not for me. I like creepy over cheap jumps

Its the ending of The Thing it still gets me, who is real? Either, neither? Only other film to get me like that was Invasion of The Body Snatchers the Donald Sutherland film, its that whole people looking and sounding like they should, but knowing its not really them that really freaks me out!

I think the scariest things I've ever watched are the ones where I sit there wondering what kind of mind came up with the story line or idea

This would include,

The human centipede

The original IT

And the really gory stuff like the hills have eyes 2 and hostel 2.

The scariest part has to be who came up with that?

I’m an adult and I know it’s a film so I don’t get scared. But the best horror films I have enjoyed other ones that make wide awake. Haha.

The last one that I enjoyed like that is called, let me in. It will never be the best horror film, but it’s definitely better than some of the ones I saw before it. It’s not a Hollywood one, which is always good.
