It's rare for anything to approach the emotional intensity of the L word for me, though

No. I don’t and never do. It takes a special woman to make it to the point where I trust her enough to love her.

I love the barmaid though, how was she puts a little Shamrock on my Guinness.

I can like people easily, and have a love for a friendship easily, but real romantic loving feelings come hard.

Fall in love? No. I've fallen in love with two people in my life, the last time was a few years ago now. I can love quite fiercely, deeply care about people but I don't "fall" in love easily.

I do care about people quite quickly once I let my guard down, that's good enough for me.

I think I'm less guarded as i think falling in love is a great thing and realise that when it ends it's not the end of the world. I haven't had much love in my life so feel I want to embrace it whenever it surfaces.

No... when I trust someone whole heartedly then I will "love them to bits" in a caring kind of way.. but to "fall IN love" means letting all my walls down and letting somebody in and that is never going to happen (I don't think anyway) x

In some ways yes and in other ways no.

I love, love and I'm a big hopeful romantic (I refuse to believe it's hopeless)

I can get carried away in the moments and love the feelings they bring. I love all the feels in general and I guess in many ways being single really allows me the luxury to indulge in them.

I think I'm probably always going to be a little bit in love with someone at any given point in my life. I don't see that as a bad thing. Even if it is unrequited, sure that hurts but it's just who I am

Maybe it’s because I’ve opened myself up to it and realised that the big L isn’t a taboo and should be welcomed, maybe it’s because I’ve been lucky enough to meet people that I’ve found that connection with

I used to. Not any more. My nomadic lifestyle and desire to remain single and fully independent is not conducive to a full on loving relationship so I don't allow myself to entertain that emotion.
