Some things are on a strictly need to know basis, no matter how the night is progressing.

For me: I do not discuss my work: anything about the close people in my life; much about my home life beyond that I have pets.

I don’t have conversations about money; property; politics; religion.

I respect others’ privacy and expect same. If I am with someone and I notice I need to police my privacy, I will want nothing more to do with that person.

What parts of your life do you omit discussing with a meet because there’s simply no reason to discuss it with that person?

The expanse of information concerning myself, my life and other personal matters is dependent upon the other person. Anything resembling my finances, employer and my immediate family is kept under wraps because they are extraneous to Fab.

With that aside I tell pretty much everything and anything. I have no such qualms about this.

As I said it's all about the other person. Candour can sometimes be infectious.

There's quite a bit. I trust people but I rarely fully trust if that makes sense.

So, my address. In my decade on here, I've only trusted four people with it. My surname, a handful. Work (as in company and job title) around ten people. Family and personal life? Very unlikely - a few close friends know but our friendship feels solid. Like they truly care. I've dated before from here and not said various things because... I can't quite trust them.

If I'm casually seeing someone, I don't discuss others I'm seeing. If I'm in a relationship with someone from here, because I'm ethically non-monogamous, yes, I'd discuss them with the other person. I might not disclose my NI number and the full Meli story but I'd never cheat on someone.

I met a guy before many times & he new everything about me....silly me naively just answering the questions he'd ask me ....

Anyway....things didn't go well in the end....He became a stalker & the strangest thing was I knew absolutely nothing about him zero & he knew so much about me....(naievity was a curse)

Only a handful of people have ever been privy to my real name on here over the years or had my number.

Less than that have known my surname.

I have found that there are a lot of people who are very good at telling you everything while telling you nothing at the same time.

They are the same people who are happy to share other people's stories with you but don't reveal much about themselves apart from the fact they can't be trusted.

I don't feel strongly enough about politics or religion to care too much, but it's probably not something I'd ask. It amazes me on here how bothered some people are whether they are right or left.

This makes sense to me. I give out my number for WhatsApp BUT I only use burner phones for fab.

I have no issues with giving my number — it involves a long drawn-out process of due diligence before that happens anyway; you can easily block on WhatsApp...

I avoid women with burner phones/burner SIMs. In my experience I've found the interactions disingenuous and laced with subterfuge.

Absolutely. Some people like to be private. I respect that.

But if I wanted to meet someone w who all I know is a name she gives me (or the couple) that just doesn’t feel right.

In a club, a one night stand at a bar!m? Sure, but a fwb or a f/b.m? I lm going to get nosey and ask questions.

We are all different, nobody is right or wrong.

Oh definitely - I try to be mindful of people’s comfort levels especially if I don’t know them that well.

Unless they don’t extend me the same courtesy.

But in a case like that I won’t be asking any questions and I’ll be doing my best to keep that person in the rear view mirror.
