Strongly agree. You don't have to walk them when the weather is bad. Cats sit on your feet or lap and keep you warm and are good company. When I have a chat with the cat, it never argues with me or rolls it's eyes or tuts

I'd choose cats over dogs due to my circumstances

For me, yes. I couldn't have spontaneous nights away if I had a dog - the cats will graze at their food and let themselves out to do what they need to do, and will still give me a cuddle when I get home. (And my house doesn't constantly smell of dog!)

Strongly agree. The don't shit in there own garden. The are really low maintenance. The are very intuitive and give you love when you need it. Seriously when I was going though the darkest time in my life He knew and wouldn't leave my side (normally he's out and about loads). Plus I've never had mice (well part from the one's he's brought me through the cat flap). The perfect pet and every house should have one.

I strongly disagree, in my life I've owned both, the cat was fantastic and fun, but she would disappear for hours, a dog is like a permanent child, I got my dog at six months old, even at 13 she was like a child, I was always doing things for her, but I didn't care I still loved her.

I strongly agree because they're so much less effort than dogs.

You don't have to walk them and they're simply less needy.

Right now for example, I'm curled up in bed, with my kitty laying right next to me, she's not hassling me to go out, or play, or anything. She's just curled up, staring at me with her big green eyes, purring quietly and if she needs to go to the loo during the night, she has her own door.

I used to hate dogs (I was raised that way, long story!) but now, I don't so much. If I remain single, I'll never have one but, if I meet someone stupid enough to want to spend their life with me, and they want/have a dog, that is no longer a deal-breaker. Ladies

Strongly disagree. I don't mind cats, but it's hard to keep a clean home with more than one. Because they're stubborn, they're destructive regardless, and don't get me started on litter trays and dead animal rewards.

Dogs are easier to train, great for your mental health for longer walks if you have a working breed, and don't disappear to your neighbours for weeks on end if there's food on offer without a second thought about you.

Dogs provide more companionship and emotional bonding than cats which seem to prefer solitary pursuits.

I much rather have a dog than a cat.

Dogs are pets. Cats are our overlords that must be obeyed and fed. Dogs love unconditionally. Cats tolerate our presence as long as we obey them and of cause offer food. Dogs were domesticated by humans. Humans were domesticated by cats.
