It's standard practise, I think due to the nature of this site a lot of guys can openly hit on guys without the risk of "piss off you giant bender". On the other hand you'll probally find most of the guys are bi but put straight because maybe there is a chance someone they know might logon and see them, or maybe they feel women would not be intrested in a guy who plays for both teams.
