Looking for old friends

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to look to try and find old friends from over the years. Would love to know what happened to some good people who I lost contact with following various moves. Not necessarily talking about in a sexual sense, but just really nice people and would love to possibly get in touch again. I don't do facebook at all but any other suggestions would help.

A Facebook account would probably be a good way of finding people you're lost touch with but if you really don't want to set one up you could try googling a few names or looking on LinkedIn

It's the reason I have my privacy settings locked down so tightly on there. It's way too easy to find out about people

If I had bumped off a load of 'old friends' saying I wanted to get in touch with them as I've not seen them in ages, would be the first stage of me establishing an alibi, too
