Getting messages read

I know most women/couples on here recieve 100s of messages a day on here and its impossible to read them all, but how do you (ladies/couples) go about choosing which ones are worth reading? Is there a method that you use to filter them or anything in particular that catches your eye enough for you to open and read? Or is it a complete lucky dip as to which you read and delete.

I ask as a single guy who spends a lot of time writing messages only for them to never be opened and hope to be able to improve my chances. Like i say i know you cant read them all but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

"They don’t need to open them to see your profile. top tip. "

As above,

Many will go to your profile, see it is just all cock pics, and never open the message.

But I guess you could put in the subject line the reason you are drawn to them? To draw their attention.

People can click into your profile without reading the message and decide from that whether it’s worth opening it up or not.

If you’ve got one type of pic and it’s not for them then that may be the reason.

If a profile pic is just a dick pic we’ll delete as if someone thinks that best represents them, we aren’t going to get on.

No pic - delete

Vulgar message - delete

One word - delete.

Text speak - delete

These are just a few - everyone will have different ones too.

First I have a quick look at their profile good if they have face pics! Distance plays a big part! And if the first few words look interesting I will read! Most stay yellow after looking at profile or reading the first few words tbh!x

A look at the profile if its shit or full of cock pics from different angles al not reply. If the message is vulgar al just delete al not even look at the profile. If a like the look of the profile pic and the message is OK al likely reply, bit bottom line is the profile and pics if it don't float ma boat it's a delete

I always look at the profile before replying. You could write the nicest message, if they don’t like your profile or aren’t attracted to you, you’re not going to get a reply usually.

They will peruse your profile before anything OP, with the caveat that they actually stumble upon your message within their ever-increasing Inbøx in the first instance. Otherwise it will languish, lost like tears in rain.

As others said your profile bit also the feel of your message

You need to make everyone unique spend a minute looking at thief profile before writing after writing and before hitting send.Imagine the person and what they might want to hear

Better to a do a subpar unique message than a good copied one

"Well thats answered that then. I guess its my profile that needs looking at more so than what im sending."

All of the above is true. I would also add that if your message simply reads ‘How are you?’, or ‘What you up to?’, or other such single sentence banalities, it doesn’t need to be opened to know it isn’t very interesting. We receive very few messages, but those single sentence ones usually get deleted without us bothering to read them. Hope this helps x

I've never received 100s of messages.

I read every single one... Unless I can see by the preview that it's crude, or I don't like the look of their profile pic.

If we can read it in full without opening it, just delete it. Its likely to be cut and paste.

If it’s illiterate, similar.

If its polite, well written and is disrespectful (i know its a sex site- but we get some shockers ) we will always reply, even if its a polite no thank you.

Just to ask another question that isn't worth starting a thread for.

Is it worth trying again if it's plainly clear its been missed?

I'm only asking to carry the info along, personally I've been here long enough to not worry if my messages don't get a reply or stay un opened...that be life.

If it's been a reasonable amount of time, there's no harm in trying. You never know... But this is why I read and delete all mine, so it should... Should be clear that I'm not interested.

Just for those who love this film as much as I.

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."

Possibly amongst the finest monologues to conclude any film.

Including Brief Encounter

In terms of my messages themselves i tend to hit all the point made here. Always respectful and polite, make every message unique and try to link in with the recicevers profile and i never send anything crude or explicit in a first message. From speaking with you guys on the forum its more my lack of interesting pics i need to work on. Now of course im not expecting everyone to find me attractive i know that would never happen but hopefully these new changes atleast help get some conversations going.

As someone who currently has 124 messages sitting “unread”, I’d say that it’s a case of timing as much as anything else.

If I don’t get a message at the right moment, I tend to forget about it and before you know it’s miles down the list and I’m too forgetful/lazy/engrossed in other things to scroll down and find the unread ones.

We don't actually get many messages. This could be because looking for single men is switched off. But maybe 2 a day that aren't from people we already know.

Don't worry, I have an unreasoning fear of the yellow and most just get deleted because I hate unread notifications

Also helps if you read someone's profile first... Then you know if what you're offering is compatible with them
