I tend to stick on something that instantly reduces stress; an album that is feel good, or a movie or TV show that brings me back to a happy time, be it childhood ot a better time in my life.

Or, I give my mum a call and chat away for hours

Usually I go for a walk.

At the moment I’m talking to my dogs. Their daft faces pick me up pretty fast.

Music or a walk.

Sometimes you just have to sink into the sadness and bathe in it for awhile before getting out of it and pushing on. My music choices will reflect this.

Go for a motorbike ride or drive or walk

A good hard gym session can help.

I tried talking to someone but despite people sharing the “talk to someone” trope, they never know what to say beyond the usual platitudes and they usually make the situation uncomfortable for both of us.
