This has happened to me a couple of times. They are brilliant people but something was just missing so when I came from the socials I was honest with them and basically said there was no chemistry or sexually they aren’t what I’m looking for and they appreciated the fact I didn’t just ghost them. I still chat to them now. This is. Why a social first is essential so no one feels obligated to do anything

It would depend on the level of intimacy that had built up beforehand. If that could create an expectation that something substantial would result then, no.

However, if it was a meet for "NSA" and both parties wanted sex, I think I still would if the shared understanding was intact. Basically, I could still enjoy consensual sex with someone even if they didn't match up to the image generated through online interactions.

"Someone you had been talking to online, lots of build up etc.. but then when you met them, the attraction wasn’t as much? Would you still go through with it?"

Are we talking just physical attraction or mental? When you say 'as much' do you mean there's literally no chemistry and connection or just not as much as you'd hoped initially?

Because whilst the majority have said a straight up 'no', I'd be considering maybe a second social meet to see if it was initial nerves, a lack of confidence or just something that meant the initial spark wasn't as strong as hoped for.

I wouldn't write them off completely unless there was absolutely no connection full stop.

I've met people before who I've thought 'nope, let's leave this just as a nice chat/coffee' and then after more online/phone chat and further conversation at a second face to face meet, we've just clicked. Followed by some very good sex.

I hate snap judgements. I'm never in a rush. Some things take longer than others.

I don't have sex the first time I meet someone so no.

Attraction can grow though can't it? You can have friendships where you think nothing of it and one day you find them rather fuckable.

I also think... people are human. They can have off days, they aren't always *bam* from the get go. So I try and give people space to just be. See without pressure, relax in to things.

It's a person that I have sex with, not a 2D concept of them. If the real person is attractive enough, then yes, I would, even if they're less interesting than I'd hoped.

But if they don't match my tastes, then I would decline

Precisely, problem is a lot of ppl take offence and therefor shut off to the lifestylers which creates animosity amongst us, in certain circles, and there is talk, there is always talk.... We all need to be adults, have social meets and keep it light but establish the dynamic as early as possible and then have a just as good a night either way. If the connection isn't there sexually, which, let's face it is a must, there's no need to take it personal, live and let live and while you out having a coffee/drink/etc make the most of it platonically,, or is that just over expecting in today's society,

So I'm attracted to their personality on paper but when I meet them in person the attraction isn't as strong?

I'd never agree to sex with someone just off of on line interaction anyway but *if* I had and this situation arose it would depend entirely on what 'not so much' meant. Did he turn up looking like a gargoyle with breath that could strip paint? Or was he not quite what I had imagined?
