Ladies do you have an equivalent, or is everything set in stone and immutable?

We lucky gentlefellows are able to slither from a comfortable informality towards something more concrete with a hearty handshake.

Sometimes threads are like relationships: they have no meaning or purpose...just like this thread.

.

Us women are far too fickle to ever have anything set in stone, so no, being the erm dainty (let's go with that), delicate yet flightful creatures we are, we have no need for such a thing.

I thought it was a knucklebump now.

Is this why there were no firm friendships or business deals made during Covid, bumbling elbows just wasn’t as effective was it?

I sêê. Is that because you are all "dainty", "delicate" and "flightful"?

Call me old fashioned but I always give a ladies hand a quick peck.

With men it's a firm, but not over zealous, 2 to 3 second hand shake.

Don't know if I'm being a bit creepy or not..

You tell me...

I think we should normalise women greeting other women by motorboating each other

I’m not a physical contact person. A lot of my colleagues greet each other with hugs, and I just give them an awkward wave.

My rule of thumb darling OP is if I say I’m going to do it I will. 100%

No need for secret handshakes

Women just synchronise their periods and instantly connect with the moon and tides. It's more efficient than Facebook friend requests

Just wondering why my girlie hands can’t move someone from informality to a concrete state.

True, much like an English gentleman's word is his bond whereas an American tends to 'shake on it'.

This. I have a firm grip. I don't like limp handshakes. Don't do handshaking if it's going to be limp. Just say hi.

Do you know I only recently found out what motorboarding meant. Clearly I haven't lived!
