East of time or genuinely interested in considering people?

I'm a veteran and not sure if by getting a guaranted interview if they have any intention of employing people on it?

They’ll employ someone presumably, as otherwise why would they be conducting interviews?

I’m not familiar with the scheme from an employers point of view but surely it’s a good thing that they will see you for interview regardless of how you present on paper? Some people don’t look good on their application or cv but are much better in person.

A bit like fab maybe? I’m not aware of a guaranteed meet scheme here tho, maybe that’s platinum level?

Just thought I don't want to attend an interview where I've 0 percent chance of a job.

It’s a guaranteed *interview* not a guaranteed *job*.

Yes but... Is there a chance 9f getting it.?

Im not sure if employers are obliged to interview people on it regardless.

The only criteria is you meet the essential qualifications/experience.

You’re not making sense to me. If you’re the best candidate you should get the job.

There's always a chance of getting the job... It's just not a given.

Exactly - you still need to be the best candidate that's interviewed

Oh gawd.. righto...lol..

People get interviews (shortlisted) because they fit the desired criteria and give good replies to answers etc.

If someone like me (veteran) applies for a job. They are obliged to interview me, regardless of if I look the best fit.

Ergo.. they prefer someone else they are not obliged to shortlist and give an interview to. Therefore I (me) am invited to an interview under obligation, therefore wasting my time and theirs because of the obligation.

A local authority I worked for would automatically shortlist anyone who had ticked yes to having a disability.

I think you’re doing a lot of assuming rather than *you* working on presenting yourself as the best candidate. My point was yeah totally if you’re shit you won’t get the job and yeah only the interview. But why not work on what you can control, improving the quality of your application and interview? As that’s the only thing that will get you a job in the end anyway.

As in stop worrying about the guaranteed interview part and use each interview as practise for the endgame of you being the best candidate and getting the job at some point.

Good luck
