Im talking about real dogs not the ones we have all picked up at 3am at the bar

Spoke to a woman this morning and i told her i were in bed with my puppy (standard short-haired dachshund) and she said that its disgusting he is groomed ones a week and bed is changed every other day

Individuals choice, but mine don’t. They wouldn’t settle and would be roaming trying to guard us all which would keep me awake and get on my tits.

They sleep in their individual crates downstairs.

In my bed no way. On it and at the bottom then yea she is allowed. I have a cockapoo so not at all smelly, she does not malt so I’m not getting any hairs or smells in the room. She is very affectionate and loves to be close. So I welcome her on but def not in

I'm not the right person to ask ! My dogs normally sleep outside in a kennel but due to covid and the amount of dogs that were getting taken at that time I reluctantly let mine in the kitchen and they've never gone back outside yet ! It's not good for certain breeds of dogs to be inside !!

They get bathed regularly and I change my sheets and hoover my mattress every other day

I had three dogs a golden cocker spaniel and two black, the golden one used to sleep on the bed and the other two in beds at the end to the bed. They are family and loved company so why not once changing bed every other day. They are chasing each other in doggy heaven now. Miss them so much

I don't have dogs but I do occasionally look after friends dogs; It's always my intention that the dog won't sleep on my bed or even on the sofa but in truth, I'm a total pushover so they end up sleeping wherever they choose.

I'm a dog sitter/minder myself and I refuse to have them in my bedroom but some dogs go mad if I don't let them in my room! why should I be expected to have dogs sleep in my bedroom just because their owners let them sleep in theirs. That's actually one of the questions I ask when the owners phone me to ask me to look after their dog.

Put them into a separate room, whether that be the sitting room or the kitchen! Nothing wrong with closing those doors. They're still kept warm and cosy. When I have dogs staying with me, when it comes to bedtime, they're either in the sitting room or the kitchen and the doors are closed. They're not traumatised because of it!

Put them into a separate room, whether that be the sitting room or the kitchen! Nothing wrong with closing those doors. They're still kept warm and cosy. Not suggesting they would be traumatised by it..

Always let ours since I was a boy have the run, once they're toilet trained etc but never on the furniture or the beds although respect others do it differently..

My little lad either sleeps on my bed or my daughters.

He's the only one I get a regular cuddle from so wouldn't change it for the world.. Partly because he doesn't leave fur all over the place.

I find it bonkers that some let their cats on their bed but not their dog unless it's a big hairy bugger. Have you ever seen what a cat gets up to while the little mass murderer is outside for hours at a time.
