What films have you watched that others rave about that you just didn't get the appeal if?

Harry Potter definitely.

Lord of the rings on the other hand, masterpiece.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Inception.

I felt that it was an overlong, highly pretentious and actually, essentially inferior to the same concept that was far better implemented in Dreamscape (1984) starring Dennis Quade.

Somewhere In The Ether…

Shawshank Redemption (I can hear the boos from here!)

A well made film, undeniably, with great performances but it left me strangely cold sadly.

"Pulp Fiction (and Kill Bill etc)"

Amen

I honestly do not ‘get’ the appeal of Tarantino.

Aside from Django Unchained (which was admittedly superb) I can honestly say that I’ve not enjoyed a single movie from this director.

Star Wars. When I say I've watched it, I've fallen asleep within ten minutes of any film in that series being on.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Not a film, but a programme.

Peaky Blinders.

A triumph of style over substance. A one series show that has been strung out, more so since someone bought the big book of between the war facts and decided to reference nearly everything within it.
