Ultimately it doesnt matter what you think about yourself, it's the perception others have of you.

Make an effort with your profile to explain more about your likes and dislikes, add pics with something more than a dick. First impressions count so make most effort with the people you chat to.

Sounds like you already know but prepare for rejection you won't be everyone's cup of tea, even if they are yours, just a fact.

As everyone has said if verification is what you want you have to go to clubs and socials and meet people, and to be clear that doesn't mean the effort stops.

If you want action then someone has to want you back, hence the effort in your profile and messages needs to set you apart.
