Just watched a guy propose on tv, had a crowd and camera there waiting for the girlfriend’s answer, surely that puts immense pressure on her to say yes or am I being a fool and it’s the height of romance!!!

Romance is making sure your partner feels the maximum pressure possible to agree to whatever you want

I'd say no for putting me on the spot like that.

This, I'd also be very disappointed that he knew me so little.

Nothing says "I love you" like rent-a-crowd

BRIDPORT

To some it may be the height of romanticism, proposing in front of everyone, personally I think it smacks of manipulation, just my view.

The romantic in me would say that the couple are so spiritually in tune with each other that the person proposing knows without a shadow of a doubt that their partner will say yes.

The cynic in me says that the person proposing knows that there's no way in hell that under normal circumstances their partner will say yes so does the public proposal thing in order to force them into giving them the answer they want.

Or they pre-arranged it together, in which case they're a match made in heaven!

It’s the proposals you see online where they have proposed in a fast food restaurant only for the lass to throw a wobbly and storm off that get me.

couple, us we him her.

Wow what a cynical bunch you all are.

Some people actually love each other, many like public displays of affection,in these time's of posting every detail of your life on various platforms, it's hardly surprising people opt for public proposals as they can stream it live to all their brain dead followers.

I can't see a problem with it if people like it that's up to them.
