Right. I’d appreciate your curry recipe recommendations.

What’s your go to? Not take-out, actual home cooking.

Are you a good curry cook? Do you like hot or sour, or mild? Do you hate curry?

Do you like fruit in curry? My mum used to make one with raisins and banana in and I hated it with a passion!

If you don’t want to talk food then tell me someone you’d like to curry favour with!

Plantain Curry. I just wanted to get that in before 'you-know-who' said it first. Served with boiled rice n' peas. (Not to be confused with ricin peas, because that's a killer curry).

I’ll admit I’ve never had plantain. Ever, at all! As long as it isn’t like bananas in curry (it’s the mushy consistency that I don’t like of cooked banana in a savoury dish!) But I’d def try it.

And yeah, I’ll steer clear of the ricin version.

I’m going to look up what makes a masala a masala, I’ve just realised I don’t actually know.

in the middle

A friend of ours makes the best mutton curry.

Personally we like ours a little spicy. The pataks curry paste jars are tasty for a quick midweek curry. Just add onions ginger and garlic + your chosen protein

.

I really love laksa, does that count as a curry? I'm never sure.

Anyway, if I'm making a curry that would be my go to. It feels fresh and light and I prefer a vegan laksa so then I feel great and can tell everyone I cooked a vegan dish.

Definitely counts, I’m not limiting my search to Indian, more spiced foods. And great shout! Will definitely pop that on the list!

It does. Singaporean Laksa is very aromatic.

I have a potato and spring onion recipe. It is really quick to do in a covered frying pan.

Worthing

I don't like it too spicy. I just buy curry sauce add chicken, tomatoes, chopped potatoes and peas.

Dubai & Nottingham

My fave to make is mutton Dhansak. I like balancing the spice with honey & red lentils and maybe a little pineapple. I recently started using star anise in my recipes it really makes a difference
