The problem I have with reading that is, they want everything is shutting down. That’s like not enjoying yourself in a restaurant and having a bad meal… and wanting every restaurant in the country, shutting down

Well I’m glad that they’re happy now!

No one should ever receive abuse and they’re not wrong about the swinging world being filled with dr*gs, problematic people and judgement but I don’t see that as any different from other parts of life.

I don’t really see any difference between the judgments that they received and those that they’re now making in trying to get clubs closed

I loved watching that show on Sundays. My mates and I used to laugh about it on the Monday morning in school. There was not a Nelson so although it was a show for all those older, we just connected with the humour.

I do agree with the part about ages not being checked. I also remember the first time I joined a club, I was surprised that all I had to show was my ID and proof of address.

There are policies in clubs that stipulate people who have committed certain crimes cannot join, but that is also unchecked.

Both points are going by the honour system. I don’t know if there’s an easy solution.

Bullying is unacceptable behaviour. And there is a certain amount of cliqueiness in this world towards people who don’t tick certain boxes but I don’t think they’ll have much luck getting any website or club shut down though.

And on the other side of the fence, there are the people you politely decline from meeting or having conversations with for whatever your reasons, who then retaliate with abuse.

Neither side is acceptable.

I genuinely hope they find happiness in life and joy despite their experiences.

Very sadly bullying and discrimination are a fact of life.

It doesn't matter what lifestyle you lead, there is every chance you'll encounter these. God knows I have in many walks of life, but I've never called for something to be banned or closed down because I've had a bad experience.

Seems an odd story for the paper to pick up let alone for that couple to have been content to take to the media.

It very much feels like they've just sent an open invitation for even more vitriol from people not even involved in Swinging!

Well said , bullying in any form is wrong. Even if the individuals are being selfish and spiteful for some wrong they believe they’ve received.

We should be confident enough in ourselves to not feel the need to belittle others on their looks or size, or for any other reason.

The story is obviously in the news, lets not give more ammunition for the papers by abusing the people on here.

They say they have given up swinging but if anyone else receives abuse please report and block as Admin will always act if the abuse is verified.
