Reading online it quoted the UK has 1.5 million people who have tried swinging. And a staggering 9 million who would like to.

That’s about 20% of the adult population!!!

Are there really that many potential swingers out there ?

Think I need to smile at more people on my commute to work. You never know where it could lead.

Ah but what’s the source of these numbers? If it’s a 500 person online survey by the Daily Star then it might not be truly representative.

Having said that, have spoken to a lot of vanilla couples and usually 1 person would be up for it but thinks the other wouldn’t.

I think by swinging these people see it as more would you like to have the green light to have sex with someone who isn't your partner.

Fair point. There was no male / female split.

That would explain a lot.

The poll size was 4000. With people in the North West of England most likely to give swinging a try .

The 1.5m were people who had actively swapped partners at least once (affairs were not counted).
