Why is it so difficult for single guys to meet F or MF on this site?

I've been on this site & its predecessor for over 15 years. In the past 6-7 years though it seems to be next to impossible for a Single Guy to meet a female or couple on this site in person.

Seems the trend is for couples to meet couples and only VWE guys might have a chance to meet a couple or fem. Many want to meet at paid for sex party locations too which is cool but it sort of makes it difficult for those wanting to be discreet.

There seems to be many who just want pics and phone chats as well as fake profiles.

Winks was a way for informally testing the waters on compatibility / interest between profiles but many profiles frown on it or worst block profiles if they do.

Sadly, I’ve also experienced more & more racism. It’s only the 21st Jan but I’ve experienced it 6 times already. I lost count last year after 8.

I have had a total of 23 meets in 15 years. I’ve kept a track of this for health purposes. On this sites predecessor I was able to leave my profile verifications on without revealing the user profile or messages as I respect discreteness. On this website I did the same too. sadly, when a couple/person deletes their profile on this site it deletes the verification unless I’ve selected to show verifications on my profile prior. However, it’s getting to the point where one must also show all verifications prior to being considered for a meet.

It’s got to the point where I’m questioning if this is worth it anymore.

does any of this resonate with you? Are others experiencing this?

It would be great to understand from genuine F or FF or MF profiles to do differently.

I'm sorry to hear this OP.

I haven't experienced any form of racism on here; quite the opposite in fact, and my journey on here has been pleasurable and without hindrance, despite some initial hiccups when I first joined years ago.

The common theme is 'ad nauseam' — men outnumber the women, plain and simple.

You haven't asked for profile advice and therefore I'm not allowed to critique...but I can sêê some red flags which might be attributed to your frustration.

However as mentioned above, the ratio of women to men means that women by far have the "upper hand" on here. At least as regards the pool of men that they can choose from. From speaking to men who have been able to meet, attending smaller Socials seems to be the way to go. Actually get your face seen and interact in real time with people. Sadly with a message you're just another yellow box in a lady's inbox.

Firstly I'm sorry you've been subjected to racism, that's terrible.

So to answer your questions, I can't be bothered to even check if I have winks. The amount of messages make winks a bit of a lazy form of contact really.

I prefer to meet at clubs or parties. I've had a few scary situations in the past, so it's by far a safer and less pressured environment. And ideally a good way to meet a future regular fwb?

But I will make exceptions if I really click with a guy via his messages. That said, since I rejoined fab I've had around 100 messages, only 1 guy stood out, and I couldn't tell you what it was about his opening message either!

You haven't asked for advice on your profile, but after reading it, it doesn't come across as very warm friendly or fun. So that would probably put me off if I was considering you.

And ps the profiles of women just wanting insta boosts are fairly easy to spot after awhile! Maybe try a dating website but be also clear on there what you're after?

I've been here almost 8 years and didn't join until I was 52.

I've never had an issue meeting people.

I've never been to a club and only one small house party 6 years ago.

I'm not vwe or even we but I've never had a conversation on here about the size of my manhood just as I've never had any questions or issues about my age.

I have never chatted to a fake profile and haven't had a single no show or been one.

I have been to a handful of group socials but none of those ever led to an increase in my circle of friends and less than 10 percent of meets have gone beyond a coffee social.

I've had 4 different profiles and accumulated 60+ veries across those but chose to only have sex with 6 in those 8 years.

That has all been by choice rather than circumstance.

I'm happy with my interactions on here and my "success" rate.

Most of my verifications have left the site but I've never once been asked to show any hidden ones I have.

I did a couple of times but sadly I found the clubs not for me. When I was in my early 20s it was cool but I’ve somewhat grown out of it.

Simple answer.

It's not.

You just have to adopt an approach that doesn't simply revolve around using the site alone.

Clubs. Organised socials. Being prepared to play the long game, rather than look simply for quick hook ups. Make sure your profile and images stand out, as there's an abundance of single men on site. Although many put so little effort into their profiles and how they interact on here that it's actually beneficial in making those prepared to put in the effort stand out.

As has oft been said on Fab in the 16 years I've been here - it's not instashag, it's a swingers site.

OP, as many have rightly said, there is no excuse for racism. Ever. Sadly I think it will always be a part of life but if you report it we might reduce it on our site.

You seem like a decent guy and are obviously not a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ character, so your observations are valid. Have you considered a change in approach? A while ago my outlook changed towards various things in life, notably my fab activity. It wasn’t conscious, but I stopped searching and chasing and just engaged with people in the forums.

Now, to many people, I’m more than just a profile or a message - they know my (dodgy) personality and are willing to chat as friends. Along with meeting people at socials, I’ve made some good connections and sometimes that has morphed into meeting. It was never my ultimate goal, though, so I hope I have come across as relaxed and agenda-free.

Each to their own but a change in approach may serve you well in the long term.

Equally frustrating for women, for different reasons.

I can only speak for myself, but I am never inundated with messages (when I'm in my home city)

My main issues are men who are flakey... I'm always keen to have a social pretty quickly, lots make noises about this but never arrange/confirm plans.

And then the guys that do often don't want to make the effort with meets, they just want to pop round for a quick fuck and disappear.

And their communication skills are poor, voicing what they want, what they're looking for, completely honestly.

I'm not going to diminish your experiences, OP, but I will say in the years I've been here, men not getting meets with women and couples, more luck in swinger's clubs, and stigma or abuse based on ethnic group have all been common refrains in all that time. I can't speak to the experience from your demographic, but the complaints have remained pretty constant while I've been here.

I've been on this site & its predecessor for over 15 years. In the past 6-7 years though it seems to be next to impossible for a Single Guy to meet a female or couple on this site in person.

There seems to be many who just want pics and phone chats as well as fake profiles.

Winks was a way for informally testing the waters on compatibility / interest between profiles but many profiles frown on it or worst block profiles if they do.

Sadly, I’ve also experienced more & more racism. It’s only the 21st Jan but I’ve experienced it 6 times already. I lost count last year after 8.

It’s got to the point where I’m questioning if this is worth it anymore.

Must admit I’ve never had a no show or a (non genuine) cancel in all the years I’ve been here. I agree with the hook up thing though. Seems to me that’s what the majority want. But, as I said before, I guess it’s that kind of site. I don’t deny I don’t really belong here but as long as I’m finding what I want, which I have, I shall remain

On a normal day we get around 50 messages from single men who haven't read our profile. When we go on cam we can easily get over 200 messages from single men. All basic, all very blah.

Has it gotten harder to grab the attention of a couple? I wouldn't say so, just read the profile and put yourself out there.

As for getting rejected, we get our share of people not responding to messages, it's all a part of being on here. It's really not worth getting bent over.
