Alright, so it's a bit of a click bait title but.

Would you try and talk to a someone you didn't know that had headphones in?

Twice I've just had two randos start a conversation with me while I had headphones in.

Personally I didn't mind as I talk to strangers anyways.

But it had me thinking, would you start a conversation up with somebody if you could see they were wearing headphones?

Hell

Maybe to let them know they had dropped something or something like that… beyond that, no

No I wouldn't, and it bugs the hell out of me when people do it to me.

Even when you mouth 'I'm on the phone' pointing at your ear and they still carry on.

Not general chit chat, no but if there was something they needed to be made aware of them, yes.

I personally wouldn’t start even if they weren’t.

I spoke to a woman wearing fluffy earwarmers earlier but only because she spoke to me first.

Yeah. I don't get how wearing headphones still isn't universally understood as "I can't hear you, and don't want to".

I think if I saw somebody was about to walk into a pane of glass being carried across a path by two fellas I'd give em an "oi mate"

But not general chit chat.

I wear mine when I'm walking the dog all the time and other dog walkers always stop me for dog chat. I don't mind that so much but when I'm not paying attention and you can clearly see I've got phones on why keep talking like I'm being rude?

I couldn't really visualize you in fluffy ear warmers
