Messages fall flat & fail to convey the personality of the sender when in reality a rejection when seeing the whites of somebody’s eye is more understandable?

I think part of the issue is that a lot of human interaction stuff gets lost when messaging. Because the message can be interpreted in so many ways as it's very little to work off, it might get misinterpreted/misunderstood and then the receiver may be put off or become uninterested.

Messages rarely contain the payload of the sender's personality. Arguably, some will opine that profile photographs convey more about someone's personality than a poorly-executed message.

That’s deep dude. Text ironically has no context, communication between human beings is generally more productive face-to-face, because you adjust your conversation from visual signals you get from the people you are talking too. That’s why there is so much vitriol on the internet, no one can see you flinch, those visual clues that cue people to put on the breaks or that they have overstepped, caused hurt aren’t there but are instead articulated through ever more heated discourse leading to more pain.

But if it’s someone on fab saying thanks but no thanks or deleting your message without a reply, I’d say you are being overly sensitive. You made a choice to message someone, they made a choice not to reply. Choice is good

A message is an introduction but unfortunately the eyes play a part they look at your profile albeit in ninja mode, they read your write up look at your pics and thats the decision made, no need to reply
