No frame of reference so couldn't really comment. What has anyone else got for similar offences?

Surprised it was that much but it's in line with parameters.

An element of example setting due to their high public profile?

I do have to wonder if they had not been in the public eye whether or not they would have been jailed?.....

I am guessing not.

"Harsh. Community service would have been enough. "

Totally agree, making them work in the community would have been far more productive.

Revenge never pays and in this case a bite on the bum. Both got what they deserved as they are as bad as each other. They broke the law and pay the price.

"One of them did work in the community... he was an MP....So i think he has done more than enough community work!!"

The joy of community work is that you don't get paid. As a cabinet minister I suspect Huhne was on £100,000+. Pryce probably earned more.

Then there is no joy to community work if you dont get paid. I thought MPs worked on behalf of the communities?

Now her gong has gone.

Vicky Pryce, who was jailed earlier this year for taking speeding points for her ex-husband Chris Huhne, has had an official honour removed.

The economist, who was made a Companion of the Order of the Bath in 2009, was found by a committee to have brought the honour into disrepute.

His testes?

Seriously, this is the person who came within 511 votes of being Lib Dem leader and consequently (subsequently?) Deputy Prime Minister.

Let's hope that surveillance society will make them all think twice about their underhand activities.

I doubt it. Politicians all seem to have an 'it'll never happen to me' attitude.

Look at George Osborne's father in law calling the North East of England "desolate".

Why is Vicky Price on Question Time.

Her only claim to fame is that she's a criminal who used to be married to a criminal.

She has a book on women in prison she is touting. She's everywhere at the moment. I saw her speak a few weeks ago, she's been doing the rounds of daytime shows and her past life as an economist is being given as the reason she is on the rounds.

I believe the going rate for appearing on QT is £500 + overnight digs if a certain distance from home.

That's licence payers money going to a criminal.

She's done her time and been released or do you think that ex-offenders should not be entitled to the same rights as others?

That's a slippery slope though. I don't like her but she is an ex-offender now.

You're right of course and I'm being obtuse deliberately.

But seriously, I think there are panelists I'd much rather see have a voice on QT than her. Ex-offender or no ex-offender.

Thought that she had quite an easy ride tonight, all things considered

Former cabinet minister Chris Huhne has lost a legal challenge over court costs incurred during his trial for swapping speeding points with his ex-wife.

The ex-Liberal Democrat MP went to the Court of Appeal to challenge an order that he should pay £77,750 in costs.

Three judges at the Court of Appeal rejected his case at a hearing in London on Tuesday.
