Cats, I used to like dogs but now you have to follow them around and pick up their poop, whereas you just let the cat out and it does its business in the neighbours shrubbery.

Cats are a lazy man’s best friend

Both but lean more towards cats. When growing up, there was always a cat round as family pet. Dogs are ok but need a lot more looking after. Happy to take them for walks and make a fuss over though.

The thing is...dogs are adorable. Loyal, daffy, and they really do give a shit about you.

But cats...what else can scratch you in a violent game for 5 minutes, draw blood, and come and give you a fluffy cuddle afterwards? They even lick the cuts - partly because it tastes good, and partly to accelerate the healing so they can scratch you again soon.

If you like your evil genius to have panache, jump over rooftops, and still deign to adore you when it suits (and only when it suits, obvs)...nothing gets close to cats.

TikTok "Luna The Pantera" as well...she was an abandoned Amur/Snow Leopard cub who's best mates with a Rottweiler in the home she was taken into.

Market Harborough/ Kettering

Dogs. Dogs can be trained to do lots of tasks.I'm thinking hunting, security, drug detection, guide dogs, rounding up lifestock etc. Their sense of smell is amazing and can detect things 100's of yards away. A good dog is the most loyal creature and will love it's owner whatever their mood. Cats. Cats shit in a box. The end!

Cat 1000%

Dogs are for certain people.

Cats are for certain people.

I find that people who owns dogs, treat them more similar to that of a human friend, and less of a pet. There's a dependency on one another, which is amazing, but the energy of a dog and the energy required to have and maintain a dog is just too much for me. Some people thrive on having that welcome home energy a dog exudes, almost like that of a human as I said earlier.

For me, I love that cats are more independent and seek out human Interaction when they see fit. Almost human like too, but in a different aenae. More importantly, when I get home, I seek the more quieter peace and comfort, and so the purrs of my cat on my lap or chest, when I lie down, is all I need to forget the world for the evening.

Either way, they are both beautiful animals, both suited to different types of people.

I’m definitely a dog person. They’re the animals who look at us to find out how we’re feeling. I could list lots of stories of dog bravery from work and how they have helped my colleagues.

I just don’t get the same connection with cats, although Cherry is more cat-friendly than me. She still prefers dogs though. We don’t have any at the moment, but that’s likely to change over the next year.

It's always fun trying to meet people with kids, they're like hey I'm free on the 16th of July from 2pm until 2:48 if you want to catch up then they'll cancel because Brayden, Hayden, Jayden or Kayden ate too many crayons and shat on the rug lol
