Spent over 20 yrs wearing suits of one sort or another. After leaving the army I dressed casual as often as I could.

However, on the occasions I wear a suit I get comments about "scrubbing up well" maybe I should go back to wearing one more often hehehehehehehe

I don't have to wear a suit to work normally but I have a job interview tomorrow that will demand the dark navy, two-button slim fit Baumler, crisp white or blue Thomas Pink shirt (haven't decided yet) and shiny black Loake toecap Oxford brogues. I'll feel confident and sexy as anything like that and will almost certainly take an age to choose a sandwich from the M&S Food Hall as I gauge the reactions of the similarly smartly dressed smartly dressed female office staff around me.

I think you're right, Iconic. I hate to say this, but there are loads of men who just don't know how to buy a suit that's right for them these days. It's a bit of an art and, unless you can afford hand tailoring, a lot of off the peg stuff is pretty poor - thanks to people like Primark

And then, there are the differing tailoring methods in different countries to take into account: I know I look better in a suit tailored in (or for) the USA. My eldest son looks too damned good (Ha!) in an Italian tailored suit or jacket. When we were in Rome, he tried some on in a tailors near the Trevi Fountain and even his brother said he fancied him!! Worried about that boy.....

i think body shape has a lot to do with how sharp a suit looks in general,toned up guys in sleek cut single breasted suits and wearing it well can look very masculine.

Bankers, business heads, or weddings. ! I prefer my Tux though, black tie events are so much fun, the ladies all wearing evening dresses, very posh !

I work with guys in suits day in day out...... it really is the last thing I want to see when it's time for fun.

I want a meet to turn up looking like he's in leisure time mode, not getting ready to quote me for new windows.
