I do have the odd Botox injection to get rid of wrinkles but not as much as a lot of my friends, what do you think about the big lips fashion trend?

Manchester(ish).

I'm in the no thanks camp.

I'm not sure why I need to pretend I'm anything other than I am. Or pretend I'm not 50.

The beauty industry profits from making people, women in particular, feel insecure enough to buy products and have treatments. I don't like that.

I personally don't and wouldn't get any. But I have no issue with anyone using Botox or lip fillers if it makes them feel better about themselves.I know several women who get both and they look great.

Exactly, it’s up to the individual. I don’t have lip fillers but do have Botox in other places, I think I still look natural.

yeah you can do it without looking ridiculous. My cousin has a bit and she looks great. It’s people who take it to the extreme that look daft in my opinion. Don’t think I’d do lips. That’s a bit obvious. My lips are quite full anyway though.

It’s not for me. I went to the Dr’s a few years back as my top lip was badly swollen and all he said was “some people would pay good money for their lips to look like that”.

Cheers doc

Went down eventually.

Most people who don’t like lip filler relate it to the overdone overfilled look. I would have it if I felt it’s something I needed, done well it can look really good!

I’ll be all over a facelift as and when I feel I need it

It's never been a thing I would even think of doing. I don't hang out with people that would do that either, so it's never been a thought.

Also for me and my financial situation and my familial responsibilities, I have other way may important things to save for like bills, mortgage even a holiday etc I don't have the opportunity and I don't want to take things away from my family so I can have Botox or any not necessarily procedures.

But I do agree if you want it and you can comfortably afford it, why not?!

I have tried botox for migraines but I ensure it’s subtle enough that I can still move my forehead as I dislike the frozen look.

I enjoy kissing far too much to meddle with my lips plus they are plump enough anyway

Do it if you want to. There will be people who don't like it and people who do.

If I wasn't scared, could afford it and it was easy I'd get something done about the vertical lines round my mouth

I wouldn't get lip fillers because my lips are fine. I might consider Botox or other treatments if I had the money. But I would make sure to find someone who is reputable and fully trained. It can be really risky if people don't know what they're doing!

I’ve considered lip filler for the sides of my lips but I don’t think they do the whole lip. I don’t want anything changing the shape of my cupids bow. It’s my favourite feature.

Would love to know if anyone has had it done and it not change their lip shape, only added fullness!

I have lip fillers and I can assure you I don't look like a duck.

The reason for the duck lips, is because they filler goes on the lip line only and too much product is used.

I have .5ml/.75 ml every year, I have approx 15 injection sites.

The reason I have fillers is because I have a tooth that causes an indent on my inside of my cheek and shows on the outside and I hate it.

I had Bells Palsy 17 or 18 years ago and it took 8 months to recover.

For at least another 18 months after that I had issues with facial nerves and even to this day still have some difficulties even if they aren't visible to anyone else.

Botox was suggested as a possible solution back then but I was never actually given a choice.

They ruled it out and said it would only be a short term fix.

I'm not actually sure what I would have decided if the option had been presented..

I know it’s scary isn’t it - hairdressers and anyone on Facebook are doing this now. Even though technically for Botox you’re meant to have a prescriber I’m not sure how they get around the rules.

The best aesthetics of the ones you cannot tell at all.

Not sure what the rules are but a few years ago there was a big push to encourage people to go to dentists for Botox because they had all the necessary skills.

I also have a bit of Botox to iron out the wrinkles. I think some women have filler in their lips and they look amazing but I think some get addicted and they end up over filling their lips and it then migrates which isn’t a great look. As with all cosmetic procedures a little here and there to enhance is great but when it’s gone overboard it can look terrible

It's the immovable eyebrows that get me. Those faces that clown at you as their forehead has been plasticised but their mouth seems to turn a smile into a straining murderer. I don't like it one bit, it gives me the wibbles.

Botox definitely ruins your Face If you do too much like most do.

You can clearly see who does and doesn’t as they get old.

Ladies grow old gracefully and don’t end up looking way worse than you would do.
