"Growing up with Carpenter, it was mainly Halloween. Then I was opened up to his filmography and the rest was history, compares to the rest of his movies, Halloween isn't the best, although still up there for me. More of an achievement in small budget filmmaking at the time. My top 5 would be in order The Fog The Thing Halloween Prince of Darkness Christine Had the pleasure of meeting John and Cody Carpenter at his event in London a few years back. Got many things signed, along with a photo with him, which remains close to my heart. " So jealous! Thats amazing. Hes a real one off. I love his dont give a fuck withering attitude to stupid vacuous questions in interview too.

"What I love most is its almost impossible to imagine a definitive top four. So many wonderful movies. I suspect The Thing would be in 99.9% of lists but thats probably only given." Don’t forget his non horror output also: The brilliant Starman for instance ![]() ![]()

I remember him saying in an interview a few years back they can make Michael Myers transgender for all he cares, as long as the cheque comes in the mail lol

"Fun fact. Dark star was a college project that he scared up some money for to become a feature film. One of the actors chases an alien. The actor, who also co-wrote the screenplay, was Dan o'bannon. He turned that silly chase into another screenplay. This time he called it alien. ![]() One of my favourite dinner party movie facts.. ![]()
