"Generally the rule is Cake - goes hard when stale Biscuit - goes soft when stale Jaffa cakes therefore cake " It's down to water content. Biscuits are dryer than the average atmosphere and absorb moisture. Cake is more moist and loses water to the atmosphere. Cake tins and biscuit barrels for the win.

"Oh heck not this one again. It's a cake Only in the biscuit aisle for tax reasons Evil things Should be banned The End ... " They're cakes for tax purposes (they go hard when stale, biscuits go soft when stale). Presumably they're in the biscuit aisle because people treat them like biscuits

In my haste i got it the wrong way around and they are classed as cakes for tax purposes. They should thus belong in the cake aisle.
