So just had the window replaced o my car, didnt want to go through my insurance for obvious reasons.

Little did i know it was just aboug to cost me £800 feel like ive been fleeced

As above you'd only have needed to pay the excess amount on your insurance which varies depending on what you have yours set as.

OP, I think you were ripped off.

I called a few replacement companies before Xmas, regarding replacing and fitting a windscreen, (not a insurance claim), and quite were around £500.
