notts

I understand the reason behind it. I also understand the pride the kids must feel.

But I think it looks really creepy fully grown football players walking out of the tunnel holding hands with young strangers. Maybe it’s just me??

What's wrong with adults holdings kids hands in front of thousands of people? Where does your mind go in that situation?

Maybe the children are a bit nervous walking out in front of the crowd

Yeah, just you. If you see any sexual context in adult holding youngster hand in public space you need to check your mindset

I think you're sexualizing something that isn't remotely sexual.

I do get your point in that it's not particularly normal for a child to hold a male strangers hand, but I think you may be overthinking this.

Yeah, just you.

They're not really strangers. They don't just grab a random kid off the street you know. The parents are aware, it's a really awesome event for kids to be involved in being mascots (or whatever they call them these days) and it's a special day for them to walk on to the pitch with their sporting heroes.

Not creepy at all.

Some parents even pay for them to be mascots. Either directly or by paying for fan club memberships.

I find it strange that when u see a man holding a child's hand in public infront of 1000s of people your mind goes to something strange

OP can you imagine what it’s like for a young child, walking out into a stadium full of 50k people shouting and singing?

I need a cup of tea
