Just using this place to vent rn. I need purpose in my life and I never feel it. Work is shit cos everyone just moans and it feels like everyone is always behind the curve and unhappy about it which makes it feel like an impossible job. Anyone else feel like they’re just working their ass off and doing technically great but missing a great end goal or vision that is so necessary. I’m not necessarily moaning massively but there’s something missing, no? Much love xx

I understand your frustration, joey. I think there’s a lot to be said for accepting what you can and can’t change.

At work there will always be moany, lazy pricks who spend more time and energy doing so than actually doing the job. But you won’t ever change that so maybe you could find a technique that helps you accept them at their level?

You could look to change jobs but the grass isn’t always greener and you’ll probably just meet new moany pricks.

I don’t wanna be distracted from life. And it’s something I’ve experienced in a number of jobs now.

I think we find our own purpose. Family, religion, social causes, learning. For some, it might be hedonism.

Focusing on purpose has its own headaches and frustrations too.
