And just like that my local petrol station has put 5p per litre of fuel today.

I guess its in responce to the middle east conflict.

I filled up yesterday.

Dont panic!!

Leigh-on-Sea

I'm surprised it's taken as long as it has for them to go up. Usually it's any old excuse.

Not surprising though given that ships passing through the north of the Red sea are being targeted by Iran forcing many tankers to take a longer route around the Cape of Good Hope

3 people post and 2 of them say fill up. Don't panic. Lol the irony that this is what gets everyone panicking.

North West

Prices haven't really changed here this week. It's £1.34/L for petrol and £1.45/L ish, unless you go to the ones nearer the motorway, then add nearly 10p per litre.

Flitwick and Fakenham

Crude oil prices have been v stable for over a month, petrol and diesel pump prices shouldn’t be any higher…News driven pricing really fucking pisses me off. Greedy fucking wankers

And that’s the polite way of saying it

couple, us we him her.

They were discussing this on the radio the other day, prices where the lowest in year's but they are so slow to pass low crude prices onto the customer and extremely quick to raise them when they want.

There's talk about trying to get stronger regulations in place to stop this unfair practice,as someone else said greedy bastards.

Maybe a regulator who every fuel supplier has to go to first to authorise an increase before it happens.

It's not like BP and co are going to go bankrupt!

I'm sure I heard that the actual people who run the petrol station only get something like 1p profit from every ltr of fuel sold, this is why they all sell food because they make more money from that than the fuel, it's the government and the people who own the fuel who make the money.

West Yorkshire

And this is why I joined Costco.

Usually 10 to 12p a lire cheaper fuel then most petrol stations.

Yes you pay for membership, but fill up half a dozen times and its paid for itself.

Plus Costco pizza is lush.

Me too. I drive all the way to Edinburgh to fill up on cheap petrol at Costco and return to Aberdeen. When I get back I need to fill up again and nearly run out just outside the forecourt. Hotdogs are worth it though.

Well that can't be cost effective, what's that a three hour drive there and same back?

The ships are being attacked in the south of the Red Sea, the northern end is the suez canal

I just check the petrol prices app and check which station is cheapest when I need to fill up. Luckily the two cheapest ones are near my daily routes.
